What is a
Humanist Celebrant?

Well.......

......... A humanist celebrant is someone who designs and leads non-religious ceremonies that are deeply personal, inclusive, and rooted in human connection.  Humanist wedding celebrants aim to be guided by reason, inspired by compassion and informed by experience rather than religion.  Rather than follow religious scripts, as a humanist celebrant, I work closely with my couples and families to create ceremonies that reflect their values, relationships, stories and most important of all, their love.

What makes me a Humanist Celebrant?

I'm a humanist celebrant because I believe in people - their quirks, their love stories, their weird and wonderful ways of showing up for each other.  Humanism is about celebrating people - their relationships, choices, their stories - without needing anything else to give them weight - and there is a uniqueness to that.

I'm here for the love that's lived in the everyday and the way we remember with love and fondness the people we've lost - and I love that these types of ceremonies reflect who we truly are.  Nobody else has our story, nobody else has your story and there is a magic in being able to share that with those who are closest to you - in a way that's uniquely and unashamedly you.

Humanism aligns with my own core values of inclusivity, compassion and empathy, human dignity and equality - things that support each and every person as individuals.
